I have had a passion for photography for as long as I can remember. I started out playing around with an old Olympus film camera, which belonged to my grandma and was handed down to my brother. One day while he was cleaning out his closest he came across this camera and found no use for it and therefore handed it off to his very curious little sister. From that day on my passion for photography took over my life. I have always felt that this is what I needed to do and for that followed through on my dream of taking photos.
I started out shooting for friends and family and from there I took on a job in the summer working with a wedding photographer whose amazing ability to capture a moment and create a story through frozen images truly inspired me. I wanted to become better and dedicated the majority of my free time to taking photos.
With much encouragement from my family, I decided that my passion needed to be incorporated in my everyday life. I started taking photos for people and the response was very positive. After the birth of my beautiful daughter, I truly became bewildered by how much love I had for this child and therefore tried to capture each tiny moment of her existence. This is when I realized just how delicate and priceless frozen moments of a child, can be to a parent. I found my niche – working as a family photographer.
There is nothing more special then family and I am truly blessed with an extremely supportive husband and two beautiful children. It is their support that pushed me to follow through on my dream. Makayla and Ethan bring so much love and light into my life and I am inspired every moment of the day as a photographer by their angelic expressions and precious personalities.
